  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manifest Creation: Prepare daily PM work and necessary run schedules.
  • Coordinate with drivers, brokers, agents, and customers to receive and deliver loads.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service Team, Warehouse team, and other stations to schedule and execute shipment loads.
  • Assign drivers, equipment, and routes effectively.
  • Monitor driver daily progress, safety, and HOS.
  • Track shipment lifecycle, including entering updates into TMS and other required software.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external customers to provide route instructions, updates, and special service requirements.
  • Ensure DOT, TSA, and OSHA compliance processes and paperwork handling.
  • Perform dispatch administration duties, including document organization, labeling, record/log keeping, emails, and phone answering responsibilities.
  • Manage materials and products.
  • Flag potential issues and re-route if necessary or get additional support/equipment.
  • Communicate with team/sister terminal locations to ensure freight delivery safely and on time.
  • Ensure the AM Team has everything needed for the next shift.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of MS Office Programs and freight operating systems like AS400, Alpha Truck, TMW, Freight Data, etc.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and phone skills.
  • Relevant experience in cartage, transportation, customer service, logistics, linehaul, intermodal, warehouse, ground operations, and dispatching air and ocean service.
