Direct Care Registered Nurse

The Registered Nursing (RN) role at Sentara Healthcare is a critical position that requires a competent level of nursing care. The nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, and health promotion, is the foundation of professional nursing. The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
As a Registered Nurse on the Antepartum Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive perinatal care to patients with high-risk pregnancies. This includes managing care for patients with complications such as diabetes, pre-term labor, and pre-eclampsia. The Antepartum Unit is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the necessary care to support their childbirth journey.
Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's Level Degree in Nursing (BSN) or a Master's Level Degree in Nursing (MSN). Additionally, the RN must possess certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
