Job Overview

The Goddard School of Macomb, MI is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes, planning and presenting educational and recreational activities, and providing quality customer service to children and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment
  • Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service
  • Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through various avenues
  • Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
  • Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
  • Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
  • Meets background check eligibility
