Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a positive community culture and ensuring our goals are being acknowledged in our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participant Supervision: Supervise all scheduled activities and enforce the Zero Impact policy.
  • Facilitation of Activities: Assist teachers and activity specialists in the facilitation of lessons/activities by actively participating and encouraging participant involvement.
  • Youth Development: Utilize principles of positive youth development through use of behavior management and discipline techniques that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth, and build self-esteem and responsibility in all participants.
  • Professional Development: Participate in meetings and workshops that enhance professional skills, as assigned by Program Director, Senior Program Director, or agency.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year experience working with youth in a school or camp setting.
  • Skills: Ability to lead and participate in group sports and recreation, ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all community members.
