Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by understanding and complying with agency policies/procedures and national safety goals.
  • Clinical Assessments: Perform and document comprehensive and holistic assessments, interpreting and responding to abnormal diagnostic data.
  • Caring and Code of Conduct: Develop a relationship with patients/families that facilitates mutual involvement in the planning of care, treating patients with courtesy and respect.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrate basic critical thinking skills.
  • Documentation: Documentation is concise, accurate, and complete, reflecting adherence to agency, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Population-Specific Competency: Complete population-specific mandatory education competencies as defined by the agency-specific scope of service.
  • Evidenced-Based Practice and Research: Practice is consistent with Northern Light Health policy and procedures.
  • Leadership and Professional Conduct: Utilize appropriate time management and meet expectations for punctuality and attendance.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Actively implement and update multidisciplinary plans of care and collaborate with internal and external resources to meet patient care needs.
  • Resource Management: Identify opportunities to improve utilization of resources.
  • Professional Development: Take responsibility for meeting education and mandatory programs.
  • Performance Improvement: Demonstrate knowledge of and contribute positively to department performance improvement outcomes.
  • Productivity: Provide service and produce work at or above expected levels of quality and consistent with agency-defined quantitative standards.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and agency-required auto liability insurance.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers is required to be obtained prior to independent visits.
  • 1 year/years of clinical experience.
Working Conditions
  • Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
  • Potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Potential exposure to noxious odors.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Prolonged periods of walking.
  • Potential exposure to diseases or infections.
  • Work with computers, typing, reading, or writing.
  • Work beyond the regularly scheduled hours.
  • Extend body and limbs to reach items.
  • Prolonged periods of kneeling.
