The Distributed Continuity Integrated Network (DCIN) is a critical component of our customer's global communications network, and we need a talented individual to help us maintain and improve its performance.

As a Senior Network Architect, you will be responsible for analyzing and developing new hardware requirements, preparing specifications for hardware acquisitions, and providing recommendations for new technologies and future concepts.

You will also be responsible for deploying solutions, ensuring interoperability with mission partners, and reviewing site design packages for technical accuracy.

Additionally, you will provide information to the Life Cycle team for hardware reaching end of sale or support, coordinate with information assurance security engineers, and validate designs against required security controls.

You will create, review, and update technical documentation, provide full implementation documentation and templates, and provide engineering support to a network operations center and implementation and sustainment teams.

Key responsibilities include identifying and diagnosing complex performance, security, and technical issues, developing and implementing solutions across a wide range of technologies, and implementing and maintaining DISA STIG requirements.

You will also provide support to a wide array of customers as part of a complex team of multiple contractors and government personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and develop new hardware requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions
  • Provide recommendations and conduct research for new technologies, future concepts, and analysis for implementation
  • Deployable Solutions (Mobile & Transportable) design integration
  • Interoperability of systems and services with mission partners
  • Virtualization, Software Defined Networking (SDN) design integration
  • Review site design packages from the Site Design team for technical accuracy
  • Research and recommend to the Configuration Management (CM) Boards new or replacement models of hardware or software to support the engineering roadmap
  • Provide information to the Life Cycle team for hardware that is reaching end of sale or support
  • Coordinate with the information assurance security engineers, validate all designs against required security controls to maintain the Authority to Operate of each enclave
  • Create, review, and update technical documentation in support of Integration projects
  • Provide full implementation documentation and templates for all phases of deployment and sustainment of network equipment and services
  • Provide engineering support to a network operations center and implementation and sustainment teams as needed
  • Identify and diagnose complex performance, security, and technical issues
  • Develop and implement solutions across a wide range of technologies
  • Implement and maintain DISA STIG requirements
  • Provide support to a wide array of customers as part of a complex team of multiple contractors and government personnel
