A healthcare facility is in need of a skilled MS/Telemetry Nurse. Candidates must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a valid nursing license for the state of assignment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is highly preferred. A minimum of two years of recent nursing experience is required, with travel experience being advantageous. Floating to Med Surg is a necessary aspect of this role, along with working every other weekend.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong IV skills
- Confidence in managing cardiac drips
- Ability to interpret EKG strips
- Proficiency in various wound care techniques
Completion of NIH Stroke Certification is required prior to commencement. Additionally, candidates will need to fulfill 8 hours of continuing education units as part of the facility's orientation process.
RequirementsTo qualify for this position, candidates must have:
- At least two years of recent experience in the nursing field
- Current BLS certification
- A valid nursing license in the state of assignment

Unit InformationExperience in managing Cardizem drips and tele strips is preferred, although less experienced candidates may be considered. A nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 is expected.
