Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the City of Beaumont, TX. As a key member of our golf course maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to all aspects of golf course maintenance, including supervising and training staff, inspecting and improving golf course conditions, and implementing turf and plant care programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train a team of maintenance staff to ensure the highest level of golf course maintenance and playability.
  • Inspect and improve golf course conditions on a daily basis, including monitoring turf moisture, irrigation planning, and pest management.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of fertility, aeration, and pest management programs to ensure optimal turf and plant care.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repair, including maintaining records of chemical application, water usage, and equipment repair.
  • Assist with staff scheduling to ensure quality standards are met and provide excellent customer service to golfers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in golf course maintenance, with a focus on turf management and supervision.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, golfers, and other stakeholders.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and spend long periods of time on their feet.
