Parker Loss Consultants is Hiring Field Adjusters

Parker Loss Consultants is a national provider of specialty claims management services, including commercial property, commercial liability, and personal lines of business. Our focus is on each client's trust in our ability to proactively manage their large and complex assignments. We maintain a consistent approach in managing adjuster caseloads to avoid overlooked opportunities and costly mistakes.

The Field Adjuster is responsible for investigating both residential and commercial property claims, consisting of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Evaluating Damages
  • Determining Coverage
  • Setting Accurate Loss Reserve Estimates
  • Controlling Insured Exposures and Losses
  • Managing Contractors

This key business role may occur in either daily claims handling or during times of catastrophic events (CAT).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts a prompt and thorough review of each loss, including the extent of stated damage, applicable policies, and any extenuating circumstances.
  • Conducts on-site reviews of loss locations to determine facts relative to damages, exposure, etc.
  • May manage and interface with third-party vendors, such as mitigation companies, when needed to help determine facts, damages, and exposure. Reviews and monitors costs to ensure they are both reasonable and necessary.
  • Immediately following the review of loss location(s), sets cost estimates and reserves for each claim.
  • Creates independent estimates for loss/damage reports.
  • Provides regular updates on claim statuses to various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consistently meets requirements of turnaround times established between PLC and the insurance company.
  • Effectively negotiates the settlement of claims of varying perils and complexities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in field adjusting (minimum 1 year specific to excess and surplus lines required).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Xactimate, Xactanalysis, or other estimating software.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-sufficient, organized, work independently, and consistently meet aggressive timelines.
  • Strong verbal/phone, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for extended amounts of time during times of catastrophic events (for CAT adjusters).
