  • Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Provide expert therapeutic treatment and instruction to help patients improve their strength, coordination, and function, enabling them to perform daily activities with greater ease and independence.
  • Program Development and Review: Continuously review and expand treatment programs to meet patients' evolving needs and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Community Reintegration: Design and implement community reintegration activities to support patients' transition back to their daily lives, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides to ensure continuity of care and high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patients' care observations and progress, providing valuable insights for treatment planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education and Licensure: Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and current, unrestricted OT licensure.
  • Experience: Minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience, with Home Health experience a plus.
  • Certifications and Skills: Current CPR certification and excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Professional Development: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
