About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Mental Health Technician to join our team at Pawnee Mental Health Services. As a Crisis Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing crisis stabilization services to adults in mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crisis Triage: Gather information about the client via phone or face-to-face and refer to the appropriate resource to handle the problem.
  • Support Services: Provide support to other providers, both in and out of the office, as well as provide support to other community entities who are dealing with an adult or child and need the assistance of crisis stabilization services.
  • Follow-up Calls: Make follow-up calls to consumers who fail to show for post-crisis follow-up appointments or who may be needing extra contact in order to effectively cope with a current crisis.
  • Coordination of Care: Assist in coordinating access to the appropriate level of care after a QMHP has completed an evaluation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other Pawnee team members and other outside providers in the coordination of appropriate services.
  • Maintenance of the Crisis Stabilization Center: Help maintain the inner workings of the Crisis Stabilization Center, including general care and support of consumers, daily operations, and housekeeping of the unit.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Previous experience in an inpatient or residential setting is helpful.
  • Certifications: Certified in Basic CPR, First Aid, and CPI.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to assess, make decisions, and provide de-escalating skills in intense situations.
