Our client is a leading General Contractor in the Savannah area, expanding their portfolio of new commercial developments. They are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to support their forthcoming project initiatives and contribute to long-term team growth.
Upcoming projects encompass: light industrial facilities, new hotel constructions, automotive dealerships, and educational institutions.

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee project management, leadership, and technical guidance for new construction projects.
  • Manage bidding processes, evaluate proposals, and formulate subcontract agreements.
  • Act as the primary contact for estimating and quantity take-offs.
  • Ensure timely project procurement within specified deadlines.
  • Assess project submissions for compliance with contract specifications from subcontractors.
  • Provide direction for all Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Guide all required submissions.
  • Develop and uphold site logistics strategies.
  • Coordinate special inspection schedules.
  • Collaborate directly with architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure designs meet owner specifications and are value-engineered.
  • Manage project timelines, including the creation of detailed short-term schedules, ensuring all activities are completed on or ahead of schedule.
  • Review daily reports and safety inspections from on-site supervisors.
  • Organize, participate in, and lead project meetings, including those with subcontractors covering pre-construction, scope of work, scheduling, safety, etc.
  • Establish relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess the ability to interpret and understand blueprints, CAD files, as well as municipal codes and requirements.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience in new construction is essential.
  • Technical degree in construction or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Consistent employment history.
  • Knowledge in Construction Management or a related field is required.
