We are in search of dedicated Chemical Tank Cleaning Specialists to execute all facets of cleaning and inspecting chemical tank trailers, ISO containers, railcars, and above-ground storage tanks. Candidates should possess mechanical aptitude and a willingness to work outdoors in physically demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and repair valves, pressure relief devices, and diaphragm pumps using various hand tools
  • Conduct confined space entries and work at heights as necessary
  • Utilize respirators and other safety equipment effectively
  • Handle, mix, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and materials safely
  • Operate power washers, lifts, fall protection, and other industrial machinery
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including donning/doffing PPE, lockout/tagout, bonding, and grounding
  • Travel to customer sites with a home base of Kansas City, MO (up to 50%) or Ackley, IA (80-100%).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience (trade school is a plus)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks daily
  • Strong reading, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel and maintain a flexible schedule
  • Proficient in using hand tools such as sawzalls, drills, or dremel tools; experience in tank cleaning, pressure washing, or maintenance is advantageous
  • A Class A or B driver's license and/or forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • Confined space rescue training/certification is beneficial, but we provide training if needed

Physical Requirements:

Employees must regularly talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs is essential.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is conducted in an industrial warehouse setting with exposure to varying weather conditions.
