Job Overview

Caliber Personnel is seeking a skilled Center Manager to oversee the operations of our therapy center in Albuquerque, NM.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the therapy center, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage center finances, including profit and loss performance.
  • Develop and implement local market business plans.
  • Lead therapy center or centers, with direct reports to Site Supervisors.
  • Participate in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Develop fiscal budgets for the center.
  • Maintain center profitability, interpreting financial statements and performance metrics.
  • Develop strategic plans to address underperforming areas.
  • Ensure center staff productivity and quality of care through appropriate staffing levels.
  • Conduct Performance Planning & Reviews of center staff.


Essential Functions:

  • Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with HR policies.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings and provide clinical in-services.
  • Approve purchase orders and ensure effective cost management.
  • Justify and process capital equipment requests.
  • Ensure center compliance with regulations, policies, and patient care standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance and corporate compliance audits.
  • Review outcome program measures and develop plans to improve patient care.
  • Maintain strong physician and payer relations.


Treatment Functions:

  • Evaluate, treat, and direct skilled treatment for patients.
  • Maintain ongoing documentation of patient progress.
  • Complete required documentation, including pre-certifications and physicians reports.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, and third-party payors.
  • Attend facility meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Complete continuing education coursework to meet state licensure requirements.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.


Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a role model and resource for peers.
  2. Research unfamiliar diagnoses and procedures.
  3. Assist with general maintenance duties and customer service responsibilities.
  4. Utilize time efficiently and effectively to meet productivity requirements.
  5. Participate in clinical in-services and maintain current awareness of general changes in the health care field.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Abilities:

  3. Ability to demonstrate exceptional judgment with respect to patient status, safety, and well-being.
  4. Good problem-solving skills to identify and prioritize issues in a responsive manner.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite technologies.
  6. Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  7. Leadership skills sufficient to direct and supervise the activities of assistants and aides.
  8. Effective clinical problem-solving skills.
  9. Computer skills for effective clinical documentation and management reporting.


Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift patients using biomechanical techniques.
  2. Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly.
  3. Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records and recognize people.
  4. Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
  5. Ability to participant in sustained activities for many hours in duration.
  6. Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
  7. Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing and handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.


Required Credentials:

  1. Graduation from a physical therapist education program accredited by CAPTE or a non-CAPTE accredited program seeking licensure.
  2. State licensure/registration where applicable.
