Director of Rehabilitation Services

The Director of Rehabilitation Services is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the internal departmental communication and operations of the Rehabilitation Department at Windsor Healthcare Communities. This role requires a strong leader who can facilitate and coordinate patient care, ensure quality assurance, and drive the development of interdisciplinary care systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain systems that enhance the facility's approach to interdisciplinary care, ensuring compliance with facility policies, procedures, clinical standards, and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with documentation guidelines and regulatory requirements, including completion of monthly documentation audits.
• Implement new patient programs in accordance with facility policies and ensure timely evaluation and treatment of patients in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
• Communicate regularly with the Administrator and Regional Rehab Consultant, determining the need for consultant visits and assistance.
• Ensure participation with the IDT to meet OBRA requirements and manage the use of computerized systems to optimize data quality and maximize therapist efficiency.
• Monitor financial performance of the rehab department and effectively seek methods to improve this performance while ensuring that facility standards are consistently observed.
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited program for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or SLP.
• Must possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and management skills, and ability to communicate effectively and positively with all facility staff.
Physical Requirements:
• For direct patient care, must be able to lift and transfer patients to and from all surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day, and lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.
• For support activities, must be physically able to travel at least 5% of the time and communicate effectively over the phone.
