About the Apprenticeship Program

Zurich North America's Apprentice Program is a unique opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry while pursuing an associate degree.

The program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry, including underwriting, risk management, and customer service.

Program Highlights
  • Gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry
  • Pursue an associate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance
  • Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at Zurich
  • Develop skills in underwriting, risk management, and customer service
Responsibilities
  • Support the National Account Underwriting Services Team
  • Service accounts through the end-to-end process
  • Access and evaluate underwriting processes
  • Implement best practices in underwriting
  • Resolve inquiries from brokers, underwriters, and internal customers
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • College-ready status validated by Harper Community College Admissions
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities between work and school deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Collaboration and problem-solving skills
