Audio-Visual Help Desk Technician

Indian Township Solutions (ITS) is a leading provider of audiovisual systems integration and installation services. We are seeking a highly skilled Audio-Visual Help Desk Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Audio-Visual Help Desk Technician will be responsible for resolving AV-related trouble tickets submitted by users of a dynamic Government program. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze issues and provide technical assistance, support, and advice to end users for AV hardware, software, and systems
  • Research, study, and resolve AV software and hardware issues of users, using all available resources
  • Determine whether the issue is caused by hardware, software, or system
  • Answer questions by applying AV knowledge of computer software, hardware, systems, and procedures
  • Log trouble tickets and maintain relevant records documenting all symptoms, troubleshooting, and resolution
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of technological assets
  • Create and maintain user-training manuals and procedures and provide training when necessary
  • Make recommendations to Executive Management on what types of devices and technologies are needed for efficiency and success
  • Conduct periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal AV function and minimal downtime
  • Communicate with software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products
  • Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work
  • Perform administrative duties, including completion and submission of purchase orders, travel requests, expense authorizations, expense reports, and return materials authorizations as needed
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Accounting, or other related discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification
  • Crestron and BiAmp configuration experience
  • NVX experience is beneficial, but not required
  • CTS-D is beneficial, but not required
  • Sec+ is beneficial but not required
