Cedarhurst Senior Living, a dedicated provider of care for older adults, is seeking a service-oriented and career-focused individual to join our team as a Lead Server within our community.

In the role of Lead Server, you will have the chance to engage with our residents and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our residents and their families. This includes preparing food, serving meals, and assisting residents who may need help during mealtime. Additionally, you will support all catering services, room service, special events, and marketing initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Dining Services Director, you will ensure a pleasant and sanitary dining environment for all.

As a Lead Server, your contributions will include:

• Assisting with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions.
• Creating and managing the dining room schedule under the guidance of the Dining Services Director, ensuring adequate staffing for shifts.
• Ensuring all dining staff are well-informed about daily specials, desserts, and soups.
• Maintaining cleanliness by clearing, sanitizing, and setting tables, as well as managing waste disposal and cleaning tasks.
• Training new server staff on standard operating procedures, including sanitation protocols and menu education.
• Completing daily checklists for kitchen and dining room maintenance, adhering to cleaning schedules.
• Providing direction on side work assignments and ensuring readiness for additional guests.
• Remaining flexible and available to work weekends as needed.

To qualify for the Lead Server position, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and infection control regulations.
• Respect for resident rights and confidentiality.
• A solid grasp of senior living care regulations and the various levels of care.
• A strong desire to learn and find solutions to challenges.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and fostering a friendly atmosphere.
• The ability to remain composed in stressful situations and effectively manage multiple tasks.
