As a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Ortho/Trauma, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Shift Details:
- Shift Timing: 19:00 - 07:00
- Unit: Ortho/Trauma
- Location: North Suburban Medical Center
Unit Information:
- Total Beds: 27
- Staffing: Day Shift includes a charge nurse, 6 RNs, and ACT from 10 AM to 10 PM; Night Shift includes a charge nurse, 6 RNs, and ACT from 10 PM to 10 AM.
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 5:1 (estimated)
- Equipment: Remote telemetry and EMR MediTech
Essential Qualifications:
- Required Skills: Telemetry proficiency, ability to interpret strips, and post-operative orthopedic experience.
- Preferred Skills: Experience in trauma care and post-operative cardiac catheterization.
Typical Procedures:
- Management of post-operative surgical patients
- Administration of cardiac drips including amiodarone and diltiazem, as well as heparin drips
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Characteristics: Energetic, dedicated, and possesses a positive attitude
