Job Summary:

At SSM Health, we're seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you'll play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients, verifying medication orders, and dispensing pharmaceuticals in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and hospital policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safety and appropriateness of medication therapy through order verification, dispensing, home medication reconciliation, chart review, patient counseling, lab value monitoring, and dose/therapy adjustment as applicable.
  • Documents medication-related plans and interventions in electronic medical records.
  • Provides clinical consultation, delivering best-practice, evidence-based, and complete information to practitioners, making recommendations, and encouraging safe and cost-effective pharmacotherapy for patients through multi-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Oversees the medication dispensing process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of optimal pharmacotherapy to patients, including supervision of pharmacy technicians and/or interns who support the role of the pharmacist in the drug delivery system.
  • Precepts pharmacy students and residents, as applicable.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D; Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • No experience required.

Work Environment:

This is a Full-Time, Night Shift position working in our Inpatient Pharmacy. The schedule for this position is 7 On/7 Off. There are stackable shift differentials enabling you to also make more per hour, where applicable (evening, night, and weekend shifts).
