Job Overview

Boston Government Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to provide expert support to our clients both remotely and on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document and address requirements related to information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Ensure that developed or acquired systems and architectures align with the organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical business functions, analyzing user needs to plan architecture effectively.
  • Conduct security reviews, identify vulnerabilities in security architecture, and create a security risk management plan.
  • Define and document the impact of new systems or interfaces on the security posture of the existing environment.
  • Determine and document the necessary security controls for information systems and networks.
  • Develop a system security context and preliminary Concept of Operations (CONOPS), defining baseline security requirements in accordance with applicable cybersecurity standards.
  • Write detailed functional specifications that outline the architecture development process.
  • Plan integration strategies to ensure alignment with modernization efforts.
  • Document the effects of new systems or interfaces on both current and target environments, including security posture considerations.
  • Utilize methods, standards, and frameworks for describing, analyzing, and documenting enterprise IT architecture (e.g., TOGAF, DODAF, FEAF).

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a technical field with limited experience.
  • Master's degree in a technical field with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree in a technical field with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty.
  • Active Q Clearance is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Successful completion of drug screening is mandatory.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a technical field with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in a technical field with 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 15 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree in a technical field with 20 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Requires demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty.
  • Ideal candidates are located in the Central Time Zone.

Work Arrangement:

  • This position offers a remote work arrangement with some travel and on-site requirements.
