Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at The University of Kansas Health System. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs, and develop individualized plans of care to address these needs.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient responses to care, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education and support to promote health and wellness, and empower them to take an active role in their care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care, and provide timely and effective communication to patients and families.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and evidence-based care, and participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Licensure: Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) in the state of Kansas
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
