Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionic Software Specialist to join our team at ENSCO Avionics, Inc. in Endicott, New York.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity involves developing software integration and verification for embedded avionic engine and flight control systems. You will work on testing software using C code or customer-based scripts, running in lab environments on test simulation systems.

As an ideal candidate, you should have experience with hardware integration and debug, as well as knowledge of software emulators and debuggers to control systems down to the lowest level of operation.

You will be responsible for developing formal Requirements-Based Test procedures, placing requirements, test procedures, and results in CM systems, and tracing them via DOORS to meet DO-178C standards.

The position requires a good mix of requirements review, software development, simulation testing, and system-level testing in avionic lab environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience with C, Linux shell scripts, or similar software test scripts
  • Familiarity with formal requirements and developing software test cases and procedures
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients, and colleagues

Benefits:

ENSCO offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
