Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Master Planner to enhance our operations. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a solid background in the engineering sector. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cost management, RFQ processes, materials handling, and integrated planning/scheduling. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and is pivotal in the strategic planning and execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and sustain comprehensive master schedules for ongoing projects, ensuring integration of inputs from all project disciplines.
2. Conduct regular project schedule reviews with teams, identifying concerns and proposing effective solutions.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee the availability of materials and resources as per project timelines.
4. Prepare and oversee RFQs, ensuring timely distribution and receipt.
5. Implement strategies for cost reduction to enhance profitability while maintaining quality and timelines.
6. Assess project risks and formulate mitigation strategies to proactively address potential issues.
7. Provide consistent updates to management regarding project progress, risks, and modifications.
8. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
9. Continuously enhance planning and scheduling processes, tools, and systems for improved efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a planning or scheduling capacity within the engineering field.
3. Strong understanding of cost management strategies and RFQ procedures.
4. Familiarity with materials management and integrated planning/scheduling.
5. Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
6. Strong analytical skills for informed decision-making based on data.
7. Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex information to diverse stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
9. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to developing innovative solutions.
10. Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative environment with a diverse range of stakeholders.
