We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center.

About the Role:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals aged 18 and above.
  • Participate in direct patient care, including family planning and general adult care.
  • Meet minimum patient care productivity requirements.
  • Provide continuous comprehensive and culturally sensitive healthcare.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in special clinics, such as the migrant camp program.
  • Provide services at multiple sites as needed.
  • Supervise support staff and participate in case management review and discussion.
  • Implement plans to meet the objectives of the annual 'Health Plan' and other goals established by the QA/QI committee.
  • Participate in chart audits and medical staff, QA/QI meetings.
  • Supervise students and residents in the healthcare professions.
  • Consult with and support nurse practitioners and physician assistants as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current Oregon medical license and DEA registration.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Current staff privileges at Tuality Community Hospital and OHSU, depending on scope of practice.

Working Environment:

  • Work in a well-lighted, ventilated environment.
  • Exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals.

Equipment Used:

  • Office equipment, including telephone, fax, copier, scanner.
  • Medical equipment, including stethoscope, ophthalmoscope, otoscope, doppler, surgical/procedural instruments, and more.

Immunization:

Staff member must meet immunization requirements as stated in VGMHC's immunization policy.
