Job Description

Photon is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between end-users and the IT department, gathering and analyzing business requirements to inform system development and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs, ensuring alignment with overall business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed specifications for software development, including system requirements, flowcharts, and business rules.
  • Lead projects from initiation to completion, developing project plans, prioritizing tasks, and providing regular status updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Perform quality control checks on software before release, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Provide support to software development and QA staff as needed, handling multiple Service Requests throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Mentor and provide functional work direction to less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, software development, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), business requirements gathering, and elicitation techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
  • Experience with Oracle database, Java, and integrated development platforms.
  • Knowledge of Visio, Golden 32, and Securt CRT Design software.
