Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Inventory Control Supervisor will play a pivotal role in the accurate receipt and documentation of products delivered to Armor Animal Health. This collaborative individual will also support the Operations Manager in guiding and developing team members while continuously seeking enhancements in the Receiving and Returns Department processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the receiving team:
    • Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all receiving and return processes.
    • Provide training to team members based on established procedures.
    • Identify and resolve procedural discrepancies and errors.
    • Oversee the departmental work schedule.
    • Coordinate staffing requirements with other operational supervisors.
  • Verify product deliveries against packing slips, ensuring accuracy with lot numbers and expiration dates, while addressing any shipment-related issues.
  • Effectively handle daily inventory challenges.
  • Ensure proper alignment of packing slips with purchase orders.
  • Identify appropriate storage locations for new products and oversee their placement within the warehouse.
  • Manage returns and repairs from vendors and customers.
  • Engage in additional tasks as required.
  • Participate in the product put-away process as necessary.
  • Label products that lack clear identification.
  • Monitor expiration dates of inventory items.
  • Oversee all quarantined and defective products.
  • Manage loaner inventory.
  • Supervise the work order production center.
  • Handle employee time tracking and leave requests.
  • Coordinate vendor credits with sales and accounting departments.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A high school diploma is required, along with prior experience or training in a warehouse setting. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management is preferred.

Strong written communication skills are necessary for business correspondence via email, and effective verbal communication with vendors regarding product errors and returns is essential.

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, is required. A high level of accuracy is essential.

Additional Skills and Abilities: Candidates should be adept at operating a computer, working independently with minimal supervision, following directions, and managing pressure effectively. Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are crucial for maintaining accurate records of returns, repairs, and loaners.
