Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Program Specialist to join our team at My Florida Corp Defunct. As a key member of our Public Health team, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing services to individuals, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing interventions based on assessments and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement plans for clinical services and programs.
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff, including Nurses, Health Support Specialists, and Family Support Workers.
  • Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain skills in public health nursing, including administration of immunizations, home visiting, and disaster nursing.
  • Represent the health department on community teams and serve on inter-agency and intra-agency committees.
Requirements
  • Current, active Florida Registered Nursing license or multistate licensure from another Compact State.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift a minimum of 25 pounds, bend, and climb one flight of stairs.
  • Willingness to learn FLSHOTS, immunizations, family planning, and sexually transmitted disease clinic procedures.
