Banner Rehabilitation Hospital – East is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced life support procedures, including tracheal intubation, and coordinate patient care plans with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.
- Confer with physicians to formulate and coordinate alternative forms of therapy according to patient need.
- Initiate patient-ventilator weaning procedures under the direction of the physician.
- Perform basic trach care, including routine and emergent trach tube changes.
- Monitor patient's respiratory status using competent bedside assessment skills and maintain awareness of patient pH/electrolyte balance, ABG values, renal, neurological, and orthopedic functions as applicable to the delivery of respiratory care.
- Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
- Current state licensure required.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
- One (1) year of related experience.
