CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Associate II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to our patients, physicians, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide phone customer service and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collect and update patient demographics and insurance information, and verify health plan eligibility.
- Take complete and accurate messages, and schedule mutually acceptable appointment times using an electronic practice management system.
- Perform a variety of other duties, including referrals and authorizations, pre-registration, and patient preparation.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and service.
- One (1) year experience as a Patient Services Associate I or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with an electronic practice management system.
- Medical terminology competency completion or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in GE with completed competency.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software.
