Job Summary

As a Retail Associate at Blue Diamond Growers, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring adequate stock levels, and operating cash registers with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with retail customers to determine their needs and provide information about products.
  • Operate cash registers, handle money, and manage inventory with accuracy.
  • Partner with Line Leaders to understand business objectives and recommend approaches to align the workforce with company goals.
  • Handle material, including packing product into containers, sealing containers, and conducting clean-up as required.
  • Stock shelves with product, sort, weigh, label, and package merchandise.
  • Provide customer service, including providing information and assisting customers with purchases.
  • Engage in minor maintenance and housekeeping of the Grower Store.
  • Maintain product quality by recognizing and understanding customer specifications, defective product, packets, and/or packaging.
  • Maintain an understanding of Blue Diamond Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and safety practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of retail/customer service experience
  • Experience interfacing with customers
  • Duties consist of repetitive tasks that are closely related and involve few choices
  • Skilled in identifying problems and assisting in solving
Preferred Skills and Experiences
  • Use of Business-related software applications knowledge
  • Record-keeping experience
  • Knowledge of financial and inventory control
  • General office and computer skills
Work Environment

Retail store/office type environment with comfortable climate. Occasional contact with outside elements when loading customers' vehicles with product; cool temperature (65 F) in candy/bulk product production room; warehouse not heated or air-conditioned.
