As a Data Scientist Senior, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Data Scientist Senior joining our team to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing products.
  • Communicate effectively through listening, documentation, and presentations, especially using compelling visualization tools to share analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Participate in the design, creation, and maintenance of computerized databases.
  • Responsible for the quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
  • Develop database strategies to support organization requirements. Consult with and advise users on access to various databases.
  • Work directly with users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage. Direct the maintenance and use of the corporate data dictionary.
  • Perform MS SQL Server and other DBMS database and application server administration.
  • Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of the Database Management System (DBMS).
  • Manage the creation of creation and updates SSPs, CKLs, and other documentation for the accreditation of the DBMS on classified networks.
  • Manage performance analysis, tuning, and index maintenance. Adjust advanced settings of Microsoft SQL Server and other DBMS to optimize functionality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 10 years of experience.
  • Required Skillset:
    • Work across teams and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts.
    • Deal with escalations. Make assessments, recommendations, or provide solutions to resolve issues.
    • Write and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, etc.
  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
  • Required Certification(s):
    • DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract.
    • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
  • Location: On Customer Site.
  • Additional:
    • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
    • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e., plug in cables), and other moderately strenuous activity.
    • Travel may be required to support the mission.
