Plant Mechanic II

Job Summary:

As a Plant Mechanic II at Thomas Jefferson University, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems. This includes performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment and systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
2. Repair and replace equipment and parts as needed to maintain efficient operation.
3. Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
4. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to complete complex repairs and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education and/or training preferred. 3+ years of related experience required. Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent) certification preferred. Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards required.
