We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team at the Spine Institute at Providence Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team, maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
- Participate in the cleaning and stocking of the operating room, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Certificate or proof of completion of formalized surgical technologist training program, including military training course.
- National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 1 year of Hospital experience as a Surgical Technician.
- Associate's Degree.
- 1 year of OR experience in trauma facility.
- Experience in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.
