Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated ER Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department.
We are a supportive team seeking a remarkable addition who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including triage, screening, preparation for examination, and general nursing care.
- Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.
- Maintain and review patient records, including posting test results and examination findings.
- Administer medications as per physician orders.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license or appropriate compact licensure. If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certifications are required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives.
