We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our retail pharmacy team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients and healthcare providers on medication-related issues and optimal drug therapy.
- Conduct thorough medication histories and make recommendations for drug therapy or drug delivery to other healthcare providers.
- Review and evaluate drug-related information to make recommendations for effective and cost-effective drug therapy.
- Prepare and distribute medications in accordance with Wisconsin Administrative Code and provide patient education on medication use.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in performing technical pharmacy functions and ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the direct supervisor.
- Pharmacist license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certifications from the state of WI or an ACPE-approved program.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
- No experience required.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with providers, staff, and patients.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously.
- Intermediate computer skills, including database navigation and report generation.
