Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team at Nova Lines. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enforcing safety protocols across our operations.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety and a strong background in implementing and maintaining safety policies and programs. You will be responsible for supporting the investigation of accidents and near-misses, conducting safety audits and inspections, and developing safety initiatives that promote a secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Support the investigation of accidents and near-misses, compiling reports and suggestions for future prevention
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for all departments
  • Manage safety records and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting
  • Collaborate with the Safety Director to develop and improve safety protocols
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in safety coordination or a related role, ideally in logistics or transportation
  • Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations, including OSHA and DOT
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
  • Certification in Occupational Safety is a plus
