Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Corrections Deputy to join our team at the Island County Sheriff's Office. As a Corrections Deputy, you will play a critical role in maintaining facility security and ensuring the safety of inmates and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, process, and maintain accurate records of inmate information
  • Conduct regular security checks and patrols of the facility
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide support and assistance to inmates, including medical and mental health services
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to promote public safety
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications
