Job Overview

Primary Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to provide exceptional service to Marines, Sailors, and their families. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing the acquisition, storage, and distribution of both appropriated and nonappropriated supplies and equipment for the Billeting Fund.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for NAF items, including managing hand receipts and ensuring compliance with disposal regulations.
  • Acting as the purchasing agent for supplies, services, and equipment, selecting procurement methods based on established guidelines.
  • Engaging with suppliers to gather information necessary for effective procurement and resolving any discrepancies related to deliveries or pricing.
  • Coordinating the placement of supplies and equipment, ensuring they are positioned appropriately for operational needs.
  • Establishing and reviewing stock levels to meet the demands of daily operations within the Billeting Branch.
  • Conducting clerical duties related to procurement documentation and maintaining communication with the accounting department for reconciliation purposes.
  • Managing warehouse operations to comply with storage regulations and conducting annual inventory assessments.
  • Providing top-notch customer service, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Implementing safety protocols in line with the Base Safety Program, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of supply systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications, including Excel.
  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical capability to handle equipment weighing up to 45 lbs independently.
