About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill this dynamic position, which requires leading teams of audio-visual technicians in delivering high-quality live events, conferences, and exhibitions. As our ideal candidate, you will have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution, and meeting deadlines.

The successful candidate will possess advanced knowledge of audio-visual technologies, including design, installation, and operation of equipment in temporary live event environments. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for collaborating with internal and external clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Serve as lead technician in various roles and disciplines, focusing on primary audio, video, or lighting aspects.
  • Provide support for editing and creative responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with PAV Production Managers to implement technical aspects of shows related to assigned lead roles, setting up, supervising, and operating relevant AV equipment.
  • Participate in site checks as required.
  • Attend all meetings and conference calls necessary for events to ensure capture of details.
  • Communicate financial, creative, and logistical requirements to the Director of Productions to determine optimal solutions for events.
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure event planning stays on schedule.
  • Work with Warehouse Staff to ensure availability of necessary assets for events; source sub-rentals and coordinate delivery/pick-up when required.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and other event staff for efficient Run of Show.
  • Demonstrate ability to work across diverse event formats, including breakouts, general sessions, and tradeshow environments.
  • Obtain media from Project Managers or clients for playback or display in events.
  • Collaborate with Facility Event Managers or PAV CAD techs to obtain detailed drawings of events according to client specifications, securing approved prints that adhere to fire codes.
  • Ensure order accuracy throughout planning, execution, and invoicing processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Possess 3-5 years of experience in the industry.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in Applied Science in Live Sound and Show Production, or a closely related field (equivalent experience accepted).
  • General education requirements in areas such as communication, social science, natural science, and humanities provide analytical and communication skills, as well as a global perspective of diverse cultures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CAD or Vectorworks, Microsoft Office suites, audio/video editing software, and lighting design/programming.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • Organized, attentive to detail, persistent, and able to follow through projects to completion.
  • Capable of handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work with all levels of show management under minimal supervision.
  • Flexible hours/schedule required.

We offer an estimated annual salary of $65,000-$90,000 based on location and industry standards.
