Lead Transportation Engineer

As a seasoned Transportation Engineer at Houston Engineering, Inc., you will oversee a diverse range of transportation initiatives from conception through execution. This position presents a remarkable opportunity for professionals with a background in project development, management, technical leadership, and client engagement who are eager to advance their careers.
Key Responsibilities- Enhance and broaden transportation services and client relationships within the region.
- Effectively direct and manage project activities and team members.
- Ensure compliance of designs with federal, municipal, and Department of Transportation standards.
- Prepare or supervise comprehensive engineering evaluations, timelines, technical documentation, etc.
- Collaborate with CAD technicians, fellow engineers, and subcontractors.
- Establish and nurture a project team environment focused on exceptional customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in the relevant state or the capability to obtain it within six months.
- Over 8 years of experience in the design and execution of state Department of Transportation and county highway projects is preferred.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Understanding of project team roles and responsibilities.
- Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship is required.
