Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct multipoint inspections of vehicles
  • Communicate additional service or repair requirements to service advisors
  • Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using appropriate tools
  • Inspect fluid levels in various automotive systems
  • Check and adjust tire pressure
  • Lubricate moving components with specified lubricants
  • Drain and refill engine oil
  • Add coolant to the radiator and battery
  • Replace oil and air filters
  • Inspect vehicles for further repair needs
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize exposure to hazardous materials

Qualifications:

  • Must meet the dealership's employment criteria
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions
  • Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate manual transmissions
  • Previous experience as a technician's assistant or apprentice is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to operate a vehicle
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to exert significant physical force when necessary
  • Requires a considerable amount of walking and standing, and may involve working seated for extended periods while controlling equipment.
