Home-Based Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Los Angeles Education Partnership. As a Home-Based Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality child development services to families in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct weekly home visits with families to provide child development services, social services, and health services.
- Facilitate bi-monthly socialization activities with families and other Early Childhood Educators.
- Plan home visits and socialization activities according to the Head Start Performance Standards and home base curriculum.
- Complete developmental screenings and ongoing assessments of eligible children and their families.
- Establish positive, supportive, and reciprocal relationships with families, children, and community resources.
- Support the transition of families from Early Head Start to Head Start or other preschool programs.
- Assist parents of children with disabilities to ensure they are involved in the planning and implementation of all EHS program services.
- Participate in weekly and monthly staff meetings for case conferencing and reflective supervision.
- Provide and maintain appropriate data and files of children and families as defined by the Head Start Performance Standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to better serve EHS families.
- Participate in IFSP or IEP meetings, as required.
- Disabilities and Special Needs Facilitator for parent workshops as requested from the DSN Manager/DSN Advocate.
- Bachelor's degree in human services, child development, or a social service-related field (preferred).
- Associate degree in human services, child development, or a social service-related field with a CDA Credential (required).
- Experience in home visitation (preferred).
- Early Head Start knowledge (preferred).
- Daily driving is required. Must provide own vehicle, valid Driver's License, and proof of full vehicle insurance coverage.
- First Aid certification and Child CPR certification (required).
- Health Exam (required).
- Pertussis (whooping cough) and measles immunization (required).
- Negative tuberculosis screen (required).
- Hepatitis B Vaccination (recommended).
- Must pass a criminal background check.
