Job Title: Concrete Apprentice

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Apprentice to join our team at Ho-Chunk, Inc. As a Concrete Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced concrete finishers in the construction of various concrete structures, including floors, walls, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and finishing of concrete surfaces, including mixing, pouring, and finishing.
  • Operate hand and power tools, such as trowels, floats, and saws, to smooth and finish concrete surfaces.
  • Align and straighten forms to ensure accurate and level concrete pours.
  • Monitor and control the curing process of concrete to ensure optimal strength and durability.
  • Collaborate with experienced concrete finishers to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years or more experience in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and stand for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of concrete construction methods and materials.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding position that requires working at heights and in various weather conditions. The use of personal protective equipment is required.
