Job Title: Payroll Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team at HealthCare Talent. As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for handling high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the performance of payroll staff processing payroll
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments
  • Understand and report necessary changes to payroll operations by maintaining established policies and procedures
  • Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
  • Review and verify source documents
  • Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Answer questions and requests related to payroll information
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
  • Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Maintain a system of controls over payroll so employees are paid accurately and on time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration, or another related field highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with payroll required
  • Previous experience with Workday required
  • Previous experience working with CA labor and wage laws
  • Prior experience using accounting software
  • Ability to handle high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
  • Microsoft Excel - strong working knowledge and advanced skills needed
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation - Preferred

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 8am - 5pm, with a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 annual salary (depending on experience) and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, FSA, pet savings program, 403b, vacation time, and paid sick time.
