X-ray CT Imaging Physicist

iRay Imaging LLC is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of key X-ray system components used in medical, veterinary, and industrial imaging applications.

Founded in 2011, iRay Imaging LLC is headquartered in Shanghai, China, and has production facilities in China, Korea. The Solon, Ohio site is dedicated to designing and manufacturing both projection X-ray and 3D Computed Tomography (CT) systems, incorporating state-of-the-art X-ray generation and detection technology.

We are seeking a highly skilled X-ray CT Imaging Physicist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and applying novel CT image generation and analysis techniques for CT scanners, including photon counting CT.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, numerical algorithms, and programming, with excellent skills in Digital Signal Processing and Digital Image Processing. Experience in the design, development, and implementation of CT scanners or similar medical devices is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Actively participating in the development and implementation of CT image generation methods, including data corrections, image reconstruction, and image processing
• Getting involved in the integration of new Computed Tomography (CT) scanner systems; Collecting and analyzing data; Writing software for data analysis; Designing experiments for testing algorithms and features
• Prototyping advanced image processing algorithms around image reconstruction
• Tuning image processing algorithms to enhance image quality

Required skills include:

• Excellent mathematics, numerical algorithm, and programming skills
• Strong background in Digital Signal Processing, Background in Digital Image Processing is a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, Medical Physics, or a related field.
• Experience in the design, development, and implementation of CT scanners or similar medical devices.

Computer & Analytical Skills:

Programming experience in C or C++, and MATLAB or Python.
