Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care, performing spirometry, and providing asthma education to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients.
  • Perform basic spirometry in the pediatric pulmonary function lab and communicate results with providers.
  • Coordinate patient care, order diagnostic tests, and assist with referrals to outside sources.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
  • Perform administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards, and quality assurance.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team members, explaining routines and procedures to patients and coordinating patient care information.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
  • Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of pediatric pulmonary nursing experience.
  • Experience performing spirometry and asthma education.
  • Asthma educator certification.
  • Prior Epic experience.
