Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Lead to oversee our asphalt crew and ensure the successful completion of our projects. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety excellence and a proven track record in asphalt paving operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise and direct the activities of the asphalt crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and service equipment, including paving machines, rollers, and brooms, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in scheduling and coordinating field activities, subcontractors, and crew members to meet project deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work performed to ensure it meets specifications and is of high quality.
  • Training and Development: Provide instruction and training to employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving operations, with a strong focus on safety excellence.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of traffic control standards, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to our company's safety program and practices.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and any other certifications required by the company or industry.
