The group is seeking an experienced ALM Administrator to manage and oversee all aspects of this platform. The chosen candidate will have multiple years of experience playing the role of an ALM Administrator for large firms.

He/she will understand all tiers of the platform and will ultimately own all customizations and administration aspects of the product.

The desired candidate will also have a good understanding of the JIRA product. A number of our project teams are looking to migrate their project artifacts from ALM to JIRA.

Prior experience doing such migrations is a huge plus. One of the team's mandate is to research the latest in tooling for each of the testing capabilities and work with various partners to introduce such tools to the Enterprise.

It is therefore, likely, that this candidate will be cross-trained to support other testing products of the group in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the ALM platform
  • Understand all tiers of the platform and own all customizations and administration aspects of the product
  • Have a good understanding of the JIRA product and experience with migrations from ALM to JIRA
  • Research the latest in tooling for each of the testing capabilities and work with partners to introduce such tools to the Enterprise
  • Be cross-trained to support other testing products of the group in the future

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent program
  • 5+ years of experience with Information Technologies
  • Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle
  • Familiarity and experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience working as a product specialist or Administrator for HP Quality Center/Microfocus ALM

Skills:

  • 3+ years of working experience as an ALM Administrator for a medium to large-sized organization
  • Experience hosting and managing a shared test environment across multiple lines of business
  • Must have previous experience orchestrating migrations and version upgrades
  • Knowledge of workflow and field customizations in ALM
  • Good SQL query building and reporting skills
  • Must have experience in ALM to JIRA migration of artifacts and entities
  • Technically savvy and able to provide hands-on solutions
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as the candidate will be interfacing with other product teams and business units
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment
  • Ability to provide thought leadership in the field of QE and test management/automation
  • JIRA administration experience is a huge plus
  • Experience with Windows/Linux System Administration to install, update and deploy latest software upgrades for the applications/OS level patch deployment
  • Experience with Microfocus suite of products ALM/LR/UFT/FT/BPT admin level for supporting the application, perform upgrades and troubleshoot issues
  • Experience with Oracle/SQL DB patch configuration, retrieving data using custom SQL procedures
  • Experience with disaster recovery management with the PROD and Contingency servers
  • Experience working in a global support mode and ability to work with various technical teams (network, architecture, db) to troubleshoot infrastructure related issues
  • Experience working with API's for maintenance and customization support to the applications
  • Monitor the server efficiency and generate monthly reports on the usage/provide recommendations on optimizing the server performance etc.
