Seasonal Banquet Captain

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Grand Pacific Resorts. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events, providing exceptional service to our guests, and leading a team of banquet staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the setup, service, and breakdown of banquets and events
- Ensure that all banquet staff are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent service
- Conduct pre-function meetings to review event details and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with meeting planners, chefs, and other stakeholders to ensure that all needs are met
- Monitor and control inventory, including linens, china, glassware, and silverware
- Ensure that all banquet staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in banquet services, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and spirits
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The Banquet Captain will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
